The D’Entrecasteaux Channel is a large channel that runs between mainland Tasmania and Bruny Island. The waters in this Channel are mostly sheltered, providing excellent diving sites all year round. Sea life abounds in these waters, ranging from Weedy Sea Dragons to small urchins and sponges. Many of the dive sites in the Channel are marine reserves as well, which has encouraged diverse sea life in this area. Tinderbox, Kingston Beach, Blackmans Bay and Craypot Point are some of the colour flashlight sites in this channel, all of which are abounding with sea life and interesting things to see and do.
